A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

This is from last weekend on the Gold Country ride with Tom MLC. We got caught in a torrential downpour up in the mountains on Hwy 49. Its was coming down so hard that mud streams were crossing the road. 100 miles of wet, dirty road heading back to my place.

It's all my fault. I MADE him come out & play in this.

That's Ken thawing his hands out at a rest stop. Altitude 7000 feet! Everything was cold & wet. Bruce's purdy skunk was skunky. And a pic of my dirty steed in front of the house at journey's end.

I should post all of the pics at the end of the thread over in the meetingplace forum. Just as soon as I get Ken's pics. Definately a memorable trip.

Damn, Bruce, very impressive. Ever thought about going into engine detailing as a line of business? I've seen big-time rap superstars with WAY less bling than that engine. :D

I'd probably starve to death! Or be doing nothing but Harleys.

Bruce that is simply amazing. I have to ask; how long did that take to get cleaned up from the monsoon?

It wasn't too bad. I picked away at it for a few weeks. It took longer than usual because I went ahead and did a few other things like check the valves, replaced a slightly bent fork ear, installed a volt meter, synched the carbs, etc. I just got it all back together today:

Looks good Bruce! Those before pics nearly brought a tear to my eye.
And you know I'm not kidding.

What voltmeter did you get bruce?

I installed a VDO guage... the same style as the oil temp gauges I sell. I need to find some different clamps, but I like the way it turned out. Here's a crappy pic:

Cool! Works well with the oil temp gauge! How's that look from the front side?

Looks sharp! Don't drop it :) When someone knocked my bike off its center stand the trip meter knob got smashed... I assume those would be in the way of a fall :/ That said, how expensive are those gauges? It's a very nice clean look
