A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I like it, I don't think nice bikes should be turned into rat/cafe bikes but if it wasnt pretty to start with then the mad max in me loves it!

probly loud 2 bors arent quiet pipes

i can't ride around the block without earplugs. it was ugly to start with. An old bike like this I'd rather mess with to make it go and turn better than to just make it shiny as when it was brand new. It was the lowly 450, not one of the cooler ones.

kick ass bike, I'm jealous
Did you make a stop in my hometown, OB (Ocean Beach, SD) on your venture through Southern Cali? Also, the orange and black are quite fitting

My Bike when I lived in Socal a few years ago. Man I miss riding out there year round!

Amen, brother. I'd say between that (the canyons) and surfing, it's what I miss the most (well, my friends, too) about LA...and NOTHING else! Ha!
Hey, did you ever get to OutRider's in Santa Monica? It's called HammyBoy's now. I worked there, back in the day.

Yeah man L.A. is definitely a love hate relationship for me too. The riding is fantastic though (out of the city). My brother and I moved to Marina Del Rey in 1990 and he became a tech at Marina Suzuki while he was in flight school. The Garage Company was just getting started then down the street. I remember Outrider I went there a couple of times. I used to ride to the Rock Store almost every weekend on my GS back then.

Cool man! Yeah, I was there in 95/6/7 and I had the same feelings: love/hate!
I had an '82 Kawasaki KZ1000J and a GPz550 ('82) that I used to take to the Rock Store all the time (normally the GPz). I might have a photo of your bike in some of my stuff. I DEFINATELY would have shot it if I would have seen it; sweet bike.
Yep, Topanga Canyon every weekend, or occassionally the Crest, or Ojai. Just before I left at the end of '97 the Crest started to get really sketchy, guys were dying up there about every other weekend.
But all good memories for me; the guy that picked-up OutRider (Hambis) is a buddy of mine and I try to get back there every couple years. You ever get back there? Helps me remember why I don't live out there, and keeps my 'surf' gene at bay.
It's pretty wild, my wife and I are from Kansas and live here now; but she's got family out there and I've got friends there...weird, but true.
Sorry to babble man, again = sweet bike!

I am actually out here in San Diego on business now. I still get out west a couple times a year. My parents live in Thousand Oaks and I will be spending Easter Sunday at there place and taking a ride to the Rock Store with my Dad and brother.

Ewwwwwwww, jealousy abounds even now in my heart! Ha!
I'm dealing with summer enrollment and empending finals and term papers...*ghuh!* ... if ONLY I could get to the Rock Store for just the shortest of rides...
Enjoy the ride man! Be sure to take pics!
