A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Picked her up for $300, complete and running, but very ugly and neglected. With my work and school schedule it took me six months to complete. I replaced every bearing and seal, new rubber, chain, and a lot of elboy grease and paint. The seat cowl is from caferace inc out of Colorado, which required some cutting and welding of additional brackets. I decided to go with a single automotive style cone filter just for a unique look. The jetting still needs some tweaking, but overall runs very well for a alomost 30 year old bike.

Very nice job. Love your bike!

Well done, Melkman. What did you replace the tank badge with ?

I didnt like the way the suzuki badge looked with the bike, so I simply bought a $4 piece of aluminum from lowes, filed it to shape and then sanded and polished the crap out of it. I originally intended it just to be temporary until I found a badge that I liked, but it has grown on me, and I think i will keep it.

Seriously? Wow; that's so cool that I would have never thought of it.
Very cool!

Nice!

Nice!

wow gorgeous bike. dont hate me if i decide to creep your style with the single filter, was considering pods but that looks sick!

Here's mi bike. I have showed it up earlier but have not been logged in last 6 months so all my post was removed so here I go again. Its a GSX 750 81 mod. with a CBR front wheel. FJR Rear wheel. TL1000 tank. Ducati 916 rear seat. Upside down fork. Aprilia RSV mille rear swing

SmoreGrava keep them pics coming, I need to do something with my seat area. Gonna carve up my seat foam and to get something similar to a Corbin or Sargeant for now and in winter do something like you did.

Very nice, great progress!

Here is one more pic from other side. I get a lot comments on my seat. Only Aluminium plates. Looks bad I think and actually no problem to sit on because they are quite large. But passanger seat is close to torture.

Patrickmcp your bike looks really cool. Kind a same style as mine actually. But mine has no finnish at all. It's more of a rat with a cool look. What was your front fork from? I belive your bike would be perfect with a 916 seat.

Stetracer: nice mean looking bike, looks like an industrial Howitzer

Smoregrava: I agree about the tail, but I was thinking early 2000's GSXR 1000 tail, depends what I find for the price and looks. Did you have to cut up the seat rails? Front end is '96 GSXR1100.

Mixongw: Supertrapp 10" total length, 4" body, 2" inlet and it's stainless steel, tunable and sounds great, I can adjust my backpressure and sound.
