A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Interesting filter setup... what is that? Also surprised that you don't have fuelling issues with that long length of fuel line.

Bike looks good. I know a few people that have got decent results painting a car with a roller too! From what I read it's all about thinning the paint out & post paint treatment (flatting, polishing etc).

Dan :)

Filer set up is dual K&N filters for an 89 GSXR1000.
What kind of fueling problems would that lenth of line cause????

I always thought it a bad idea to force the fuel upwards in a gravity fed system that was what I was getting at... Looks like yours loops down & then back up to the carb.

Dan :)

Dan,
Ignoring any friction effects inside the extra length of tube, there is no difference in pressure at the cab inlet between having a loop and having a constantly descending flow.
That is because any drop in head (static pressure) rising in the tube is virtually exactly the same as the pressure increase dropping below the inlet.
So from a practical perspective doesn't matter how you get from petcock to carbs ; pressure at the inlet is the same.

One thing I would change is to get the line away from the cases. The cooler the gas the better. Right now it is on top of the case . Dropping below the carb inlet is giving more opprotunity to heat the gas because the line is longer and lower near the cases where it is hot.

Just needs some paint and electrics (headlight, etc.). :)

Still plenty of clearance while leaned over...very nice, Mindless.
Any more pics? video?

Yeah, tons of clearance even. Only thing that kept touching the ground were the tip of my toes. The boots I have aren't very well suited for racing. The sole is like an inch thick.

As for pictures - hundreds of them, just haven't got to sorting them out and uploading them yet.

We have plenty of footage, just none from my point of view, but I show up in a few clips. Afraid though it's only from the first two days so the speed isn't very impressive. :-\\\
