A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Sorry guys, I'll try better next time :( I got on my phone when I took the pic and saw it was claimed already, so I finished cruising around and never took another.
My bad, don't sweat it. I need to get photoshop, so I can "insert town" when needed. lol

Share it with us anyway...that's part of the fun of this thread is to see pictures!

Just for giggles. I tried to use photoshop to put my bike on a Trident Sub. Those extractions aren't easy. Long and tedious work. At least at my skill level.:D

Those teepees are tough to find. But it was fun looking. I did find an Indian company that manufactures and sells them. Could always drive down to a reserve I suppose. But not sure how interesting a modern dwelling would be ? Maybe Squamish. Nice day for a ride.:)

I know where a teepee is, but it's off a foot trail in a state park, in the woods. I suspect I would be frowned on very sternly if I got my bike close enough to take a picture.

Being that this is Nebraska though, there should be some around here somewhere...

I just discovered that longhouses are Indian dwellings. I thought they were used for ceremonial services. But evidently I'm wrong. Pretty sure I can find one of those.

I could ride up to WI Dells and take a picture of the subdivision by the Casino. I know some Native Americans live there. It would be a boring picture though.

Well since I can't use my house, there might be something out at Fort Christmas where I got a tag earlier in the year. It has many historical dwellings and they hold tribal gatherings there every now and then. Just not sure if there are any permanent native dwellings there. Guess there is only one way to find out. I could cheat and go to Ft. Wilderness campground out at Disney or some other tourist trap south of Orlando. We have just about everything you can think of to sucker tourists out of their money if your willing to go far enough. Even a Dinosaur park down Lakeland way. Still waiting for that tag to show up.

Haha! Great tag Tank! I wish I could get it. Just aren't any that fit in my schedule. But I am Stijl looking in my commute.

It doesn't have to be an authentic one, the one in my pic is just a road side attraction.
Any kind of primitive type building or architecture would work, real or modern made.

Nothing wrong with the tag Tank. We'll get it. I know where a longhouse is, if nobody gets it this morning.:)

Been wet and it's hard to post photos right now. At the mercy of my wifes laptop and it's not always availible. I need a new PC, mine died a cruel death, but getting old_skools engine for my '82 has presidence at the moment. Anybody have an old PC laying around, I'll pay for shipping?:o It's all about priorities. Bikes before computers.

I sure wish I had time to play, I haven't even had time to finish fixing my 1100. I had one diaphragm leaking on #4 carb, there was gas up in the top of the diaphragm, so I took one off the GK (I'm taking parts from the bike I want to restore, lol). I still have one carb acting up, and it's also a diaphragm problem. I'll have to pull another one off the GK then my 1100 will work right.
We have authentic tipis all over this area, I even slept in one with my grandkids (they're visiting from CA) on Tues nite when we picked them up from the airport. We needed more room than we had in the motorhome, so we also rented the tipi next to our RV site at Mystik Lake Casino. I didn't have the bike or the computer along though to know what the next tag was. Maybe by July things will slow down enough for me to hang out on the GSR forum again.:)

Oh yeah, the massive June thunderstorms in our area haven't been conducive to riding either, we finally got two days of good weather, today is sunny and beautiful, but I'm fixing the bike and my big trailer, going to Illinois for a motorhome rally, leaving Sunday and I have to pick up a lot of stuff from my brother-in-law while I'm down there.

This may be a stretch, but here is some native housing for local ice fishermen and also I've seen some of the remote NH woods folk live in too....

well, photobucket website is down so I have to wait a little to post my tag pic and new tag if that's ok?

yeah no worries!

This thread has shown me patience, I will of course return the favor!
