A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Riding Game

I know of 4 mill stones in riding distance. All 4 are still in use. 3 in historic sites and 1in a organic flour mill. The 3 historic are all water powered. Would make the trip but getting the bike into the grist mill for the picture may be a problem, historical societies and partnerships, county government ect. would all frown on my riding the motorcycle up/down the steps for the picture.

Here is the closest one. In a restored and operational grist mill.:)

If no-one gets it by tonite, tomorrow you can get a pic of the bike in front of the mill and a seperate pic of the stone, thats ok, it a working mill after all.

Otherwise....I'll post an easier backup to move the game along for a new tag.

Mill stone found outside of St. Paul. It's from the first functioning mill in Minnesota. Hard to believe I touched something that was used before the Civil War.

Have we had a roundhouse yet? How about a functional one? This was used during the train's heyday and is now a museum. The functioning roundhouse is used daily.

Wow!
The last time that I saw a working round-house was over 30 years ago!
Not counting the man-powered ones for the cable cars in San Francisco.

Nothing turns around here, they just pass on through. Atleast I have a tropicalstorm to blame for my lack of tags lately. Seeing that fine example of an L over and over, has got to be driving tkent nuts. He must have been thrown from one in his younger days.;)

Well, get the rag out of your butt !! Sounds like a road trip to me !!:D Good excuse for dinner for two for you and the Missus.

Closest one to me is over 3 hours each way, although I drove right past it when I went to get my bike.
So I suppose I'm out for this one.

Good luck everyone!

They play this game that I call "changing lanes JUST to change lanes!" for miles and miles with no one going even one mile per hour faster in any lane!!!!
They are crazy!!!!

Take the beefed up 750 and ride it like that Russian in the video awhile back. They'll never know you were there. Don't forget to mount the Go Pro.

Nice tag and tag

We have an old unused roundhouse still in Cleveland, I won't be riding again for awhile, have to pick wife up from the hospital and will be home for quite a few days after, but anyone else playing in the Cleveland area, here's where it's located.

That's west 3rd down in the flats

I think he said it had to be a functioning roundhouse ?

I could be wrong, but I think he was merely stating his was functional, that's kind of putting restraints on a tag, and would make it a lot more difficult to come by, but he'll have state it one way or another I guess. It would have been like me wanting a functional grist mill, there are a few, but would be an unrealistic expectation.

Now I'm confused. He does say " how about a functional one ? ", and posts a picture of each. Could we have some clarification rteam2 ?

I wouldn't wait for clairification, go get it, if he doesn't accept, you went for a ride anyway, why wait for the competition;)

I re-read his post, your right, a pic of a functioning one and a museum, I think we're reading way too much into this, looks like to me, either will do according to his tag, no need for his clarification.
