A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

The problem is that with a stupid phone to proof read would take forever cause it thinks its smarter

Damn, I just saw this. I have a new set of carb connecting tubes bought from Z1.
A nice tee and the shorter straight tubes.
So if you are referring to my carbs, you can just leave those out and I'll put mine in when they arrive.

I soaked my old ones in brake fluid for a couple hours, and they did tighten up.
But I didn't have any confidence in them and just bought a set of replacements from Z1.
Here's a picture for comparison. The length is correct and the diameter looks right, too.

These puppies are a little steep for what they are at $44.05, but that's okay for the peace of mind.

I have a feeling that they are your carbs, but don't know for sure.

If I were doing the carbs for you, my concern would be that the carbs have to be separated to install those tubes. That would require doing a bench sync again.

Maybe you can send the tubes to TCK and he can install them for you?

.

Yeah, you are right. Good point.
I can assemble and disassemble them just fine, but I'd feel better having Josh sync them.
Or maybe having him guide me a bit when the time comes, would be a great learning experience.

Bench synching is extremely easy, and not at all critical as you have to vacuum synch them anyway.
Go for it.

Yeah I'd rather them be known good than take a risk of suddenly deciding to leak flammable liquid on a hot engine right over top of your family jewels ;)
While a perfectionist I may not be, I don't knowingly send anything out of my garage that could be a safety issue.

And yes, you would have to bench sync again to put yours in and that kind of defeats the purpose of what ya paid for ;)

However, if you'd be willing, you could drop the T (or all of them if you prefer) in a USPS envelope and mail em to me, and I'll install them. The others fit great, seal well, but they are "prettier" than the stock ones. I'm sure you're anxious to get these back but I don't want for you to have to do anything besides slap em on and go, and I certainly don't want them leaking...

Josh, I got your texts but I'll just reply here.
If you PM me your address, I'll send them to you in the AM.
If this week is like last week, I'll have very little time to get them installed, so there's still no rush.

Josh, the tubes are on the way. They should be there before the weekend.

Awesome! It will likely take me ohhh about one hour, maybe two depending on how many times I get interrupted, from the time they get here til they're boxed up and ready to ship back. Hahah
