the fact that it starts wit SH may be a bit of a clue, plus if you google SH572-12, all the links come up with SHINDENGEN in them.......

...Alternatively, you can attach it to any line that carries power and as others have mentioned, the popular choice is to the tail light lead.

I wonder if some Chinese guy would ever put SH-572-12 on his crap R/R and pass it off as a Shindengen- nah, who would do that!

That unit probably will glow in the daylight, so carry some freon for insurance!

Where did I claim to "know everything" ? - if you back track, you might notice that I said...
"If that's a Shindengen, it's got the smallest heat sink that I've seen"

I've see a bunch of Shindengens- smallest one is off my son's ninja. a SH-530 about 2/3 the size of a typical Shindengen, but bigger than detorn's unit as far as I can tell from his pic, but I've been known to err!
