I plan on clamping them to the boots. Do they need more than that? I haven't had any problems with any of my other carbs. Do just the VM33's need this?

I haven't even started it yet...I just put it together for the show and ran out of time. I still need to install the petcock, fuel sending unit, fuel line and the stator. The cam caps will be replaced with some finned black ones that I have. I still need to install the crash guards, too. Oh, and put some oil in it and break it in!
Oh man, nice bike. Please reconsider the case guards and the finned caps.

Should be fine with just the clamps.

You don't like case guards? I had them powder coated along with the frame for a perfect match. The cam covers look like this one...black with chrome tipped fins:

I really like the look of it as-is. If it were mine, I'd leave off the cam covers and the case guards, but I'm sure it'll look sexy with as well.

Finned cam end caps - yes, case guards - no. Just my opinion and what do I know. Looking sharp though.

You're gonna have to start a poll!

                  Nice. Wow.

I'm not crazy about the S fairing, but that is one good looking bike.

Just my opinion Bruce. I like the looks of the plain ol' chrome caps. The fins serve no purpose. Case guards are extra weight.

Reguardless it'll look great. Nice work!

Again, a work of art, that thing just oozes sex appeal, well done Bruce, as always. your work is top class.

Personally I would go for the plain chrome cam caps, but that is just my opinion, stunning all the same.

Well, after working out some electrical gremlins, I got her started today!

Here's her first breaths: Click on pics for video

She fired right up! Sounds pretty nasty with no baffle in the Yoshi pipe. The oil filter cover gasket was pinched and made her leak. Got that fixed and the oil cleaned up and had another go at it:

I still need to tune and synch the carbs. AND...there is a small oil leak coming from the crank seal behind the ignition. I'll see what I can do to fix that. Can't wait to get her on the road!!

                              BRAVO BRAVO......
That Yoshi sounds wicked, I would leave it like that, slip the baffle in for the roadworthy test, then get home and pull it out again.
Nice work, as always, can't wait to see it with all it's clothes on, pics, we need pics...........
