A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.
A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
Tomorrow's schedule shows a nice looking 81 GS 1100. Page 6 on the list of bikes. I would like to bid on it but I don't want to spend $200 just for the pleasure of running it up and then being outbid.
There is a Cooley coming up......can you tell when?
$3500 for the GS1100, 2900 for the 1150. I am amazed at the prices. I would have bought nearly everything.... Except the KZ900 went for 9K. Another KZ900 Saturday but less originalI'm watching it now and I am surprised at how low some of the bikes are selling for. The real proof for me at least is what that 81 GS1100 brings. Watching with real interest but really don't know the ins and outs about the $200 buy in price. I guess they are just trying to make sure the riff-raff stays out of the bidding.
Plus a 10% buyers premium or 12% for Internet and phone bidders and a 10% sellers premium. I can't imagine anyone netting a dime on an $800 bike if you have to transport it there.Just a note, if you sign up for the auction prior to the first day, it's only $100.00 to bid. Something to think about for the June motorcycle auction...

Rich, that was a really nice "S" and $12,000 is a good price for it.
The 82 Katana 1000 went for $14,000 I think, watched it but forgot already.
David,
Yep, my thoughts too Vmass. What a difference a year makes! The Cooley just sold for 12k at auction. Do you remember last year the Cooley at the same auction sold for 5k and then the buyer went on to eBay and sold it for 15k. I was wondering if the Cooley could be stolen this year, like it was last year....nope!
Plus sales tax and getting it home...Thanks for that information, but a premium for buying on the internet at 12% means a $2500 bike now has $300 + $100 added for a total of $2900. Suddenly not as attractive.
edit: forgot about the seller's premium of 10%. Add another $250 and now you are at $3150 for a $2500 bike. (if I am reading this right)
