DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

A couple of months ago a friend of mine Steve Drane https://cdnbkr.ca/the-motorcycle-grab-bag/steve-drane-called-to-the-hall/
Steve interviewed Wes Cooley and I when he was here...anyway he has quite the collection and has offered to sell me bikes before...early 70s two stoke Suzuki's....but they were never my thing...to young I guess when they came out...anyway it's a bit of an honour just to have Steve say he would like to sell you a bike :)
I went and looked at the 82 Katana 1100 and found it to be quite tidy and ridden with 50,000kms or 32,000 miles...all original except the Yosh exhaust...he does have one side of the original. Some patina as well....the seat is in fantastic condition...they were know to look pretty ratty quickly.
I told him at the time I would have to pass (do I really need another old bike that always needs something...lol
But it gnawed at me...and today I decided why not...it helped that I reached out to my buddy that owns Iconic Motorcycles in California asking him about saleability....the "1100 is the hot ticket" apperantly.
Anyway here she is...

Another Suzi finds a new home. Well done. I hope she's not too shy, cause I have the feeling she's going to be very popular at the next safety meeting.

lol no one knows in my safety meeting group that I bought it! Today will be fun 😜

I'm not a fan of the style either. I like them for their uniqueness though and what Suzuki was trying to do at the time. I much prefer a CBX (almost the same timeline) but realistically which is the better bike?

I thought you weren't a fan of the original Katanas, based on some of your previous posts.
Looks like a nice example, congrats on acquiring one.
I’m really haven’t been a big fan, you’re right.
But like Big Block says, they are unique and an important bike the Suzuki lineup

Really good find Trevor. Yeah, Steve's a great guy. It even has an uncut rear fender. Did you happen to see a real tidy Blue all original 71/72 T350? He bought that one from my brother a few yeas ago. All original and now a 2 owner bike.

Nice looking bike. Park it next to the Cooley. Did Janice know before it came home? Those were always out of my price range, and my back hurts just looking at the bars. Are you selling anything to make room?

Janice is away but I ran it by her first :)
Just rode it it a 100kms and it was fun...other than I realized I have a very loose chain to tighten ...lol

Good article on Steve. If you want some real crazy sh1t (as if hillclimbing his CBX wasn't crazy enough) ask about him and his buddies doing sidecar motocross back in the 70's next time you see him.
