A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.
A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
Thanks jwhelan, I have always been partial to them as well. I had an 83 750 (new) back when I was a teenager but I always liked the "lunchbucket" (headlight) Suzuki.Very nice Trevor, I think the early 16v 750's & 1100's (80-81) were some of the nicest GS's made.
A combination of individual state legislation as no one state wants to be told what to do because another one does it, but mainly, a one plate state usually gives reasons of cost, while dual plate states say it's for law enforcement, a lot of auto manufactures didn't even design the ability of certain models to have a front plate and had to be an aftermarket dealer install, even today. I used to deliver new cars as a Car Hauler and sometimes carried special kits for some vehicles going to states requiring two plates. I'm sure it won't be long before all cars carry some kind of low jack identification that can be scanned by just by being in the vicinity of the vehicle, kind of like a radar gun, point and pull all the info, in the future, I'm sure there will be no such thing as privacy.
Anywhere I have been un the US, there are always combinations of cars from different states....many only have one front as required by thier state....I have never heard that another state here makes you follow their state law and "add" the front plate while you visit..... U.S.A. -1 , The "other North America"-0Well I'll be damned ! Just googled Canadian requirements. Three provinces and two territories require only one plate. But they must comply with requirements of any other province they travel in. I imagine you are probably the same. I can't recall ever seeing a car with only one plate. But I can't say I was really looking either. I will be now, to satisfy my curiosity.![]()
On another note. Could someone explain to me how a state came up with a one license plate policy ? Trying to make a cop's life miserable ? Constitutional right to bear only one license plate ? Budget cuts ? Inquiring minds want to know ?![]()
haha...yeah I went out for a ride today and thought I would try and get the tag and I had to 3 pages back to find out what it was!Wow, I guess the riding game finally met its end!
Talk about a hijack!
Not unless a license plate factory is the new tag?
