      Yup, I'm a rookie. But it sure doesn't help when the drawing you are going by is wrong!

          when the seal is installed correctly...it looks like its backwards.
          i almost did it years ago but i popped off an ign. cover from a differant bike and seen how it went.
          the little blocks(feet) on the crank side of the seal sits against the main bearing.
          if suzuki had put an arrow of rotation or marked the seal (out) or something..this wouldnt happen.
          once a person installs one the wrong way...
          well, they never let that happen again.

            It's only a "mistake" if you do something wrong TWICE.
